Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre
A great place to start for activities for the whole family, the Serpentine Jarrahdale Community Recreation Centre has a huge range of clubs and groups to join. Take the little ones to Chitter Chatter Playgroup or Rhyme Time on Thursday mornings, or let the kids unleash their imagination at Lego Club! Aspiring writers can join the Serpentine Jarrahdale Writers Group on Wednesday evenings, an inclusive group which is perfect for those interested in writing or wanting to meet other writers. Seniors Walking Group
The benefits of walking go far beyond the physical, with a healthy body, reduced stress levels and improved sleep just some of the reasons this form of exercise is so popular. The social aspects of walking are also one of the reasons this activity is hugely popular amongst people of all ages. The Byford & Districts Country Club offer a social walking group for their senior members, departing from the club every Monday morning at 8am. Run by one of the club’s committee members, the group cover local walking trails and enjoy a well-deserved cuppa and slice of cake afterwards! Local playgroups
There are plenty of playgroup options for parents with little ones who are looking for ways to keep them occupied in a social and safe setting. An easy 25 minutes from Beenyup Grove is the Roleystone Gumnut Playgroup which caters for children from 0-5 years and their parents/carers to enjoy play, craft and fun together! Parents can also enjoy tea and coffee while the kids make the most of their wonderful play equipment, bikes, cubby houses and indoor activities.
