Spring cleaning takes on a whole new meaning when you combine it with the opportunity to give your home a refreshing style. We’ve put together our five favourite home trends for you to try at home in Beenyup this season, perfect if you’re decorating your new place for the first time or simply want to try a new look.

Paint with pastels
Spring palettes tend to inspire fresh and soft colours. As winter clouds make way for the summer sun, there is a certain lightness in the air with new growth all around us in nature. Adding light, bright and cheerful pastels to your home is the perfect way to complement these glorious elements of the season. Calm and soft hues are trending and will help create an airy and tranquil vibe in your new home at Beenyup.

Think fresh tones like sage, blush pink and soft mauve, all of which help to create an interior that will both emanate spring inspiration and be beautifully feminine all at once. Bringing this trend into your home doesn’t have to mean a whole new coat of paint either! Incorporate the pastel palette by choosing items such as curtains, lamp shades or bed linen in these tones.

Run wild with rattan
Hugely popular at the moment in the world of home styling is rattan. Furniture and decorations in rattan create a casual look and their unique textures help to create depth in a room. Repainting a space is a great way to update it however the addition of varying textures that will really give the space a vibrant feel. Rattan and cane materials introduce neutral colours to your space which creates a light and elegant feel. The tones of these materials also perfectly complement the pastel colour palette trend so why not combine the two for a bright an elegant space that is sure to wow all your guests.

Celebrate ceramics
Ceramics are certainly not a new trend, artisans and artists worldwide have been celebrating this art form for centuries. This spring, the centuries old artform is making a comeback, appearing in many interior decorating publications and we love it!

Raw and organic ceramics in the form of vases and vessels are appearing everywhere, and we think your new home at Beenyup should be one of the places. Timeless ceramics fuse raw materials and essential lines and can be found in tones anywhere from blush pink to crisp white. Their vast and varied form is the perfect way to bring texture and art into your space, so why not check out one of Perth’s local designers creating pieces in this trending material today. All Aussie art
Celebrate this great nation of ours and all it’s incredible scenery and wildlife by incorporating Australian inspired prints and décor this spring. Take inspiration from the nearby Serpentine National Park with its lush greenery at this time of the year or the gorgeous animals at the Cohuna Koala Park. From artwork that celebrates Australian flora, to pottery that imitates our fauna, many stores are full of stylish Aussie themed homewares just waiting to be added to your home.

Fantastic florals
We know what you’re thinking, florals for spring… ground breaking! But this year the trend is taking a different shape and we’re all for it. Seasons gone by have been dominated by bold and oversized florals, this year it’s all about mini prints, look for bed linen, throws and cushions to add some spring flair to your home.
This @adairs bed linen is a gorgeous way to incorporate florals into your home.
