One of the perks of being surrounded by nature at Beenyup Grove is that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to walking trails. If you love the outdoors and discovering new walking spots with friends, read on to find your new favourite track.

Byford Hills Walk Trail

Otherwise known as the Marcora Trial, the 2.7km walk begins at Marcora Falls and takes just over an hour to complete. Expect to see red-tailed cockatoos, parrots, and the historic water tank along the way. Spring also brings out the blue lady orchids!

The trail is quite steep at times so prepare the legs to burn but just think of the views overlooking Kwinana and Perth once you reach the high points!
Location: 100 Beenyup Road, Byford.

Wungong Gorge Walk

Another local trail is the Wungong Gorge Walk located within the Wungong Regional Park. It’s one of the more popular trails in the park if you’re looking for somewhere to start and better yet it’s just a 10-minute drive from Beenyup Grove.

The park itself is the ultimate bushwalking location with plenty of wildflower residents and if you look really, really closely, you might see an echidna and quenda along the way…

Location: 28 Harwood Pass, Darling Downs WA 6122.

Serpentine National Park

If you’ve completed all the local trails and are looking for something else, Serpentine National Park is your next trail destination. Located a 20-minute drive from Beenyup Grove, it has 4 different trails to choose from so there’s plenty of choice depending on difficulty and distance.

Whatever you do, be sure to do the Serpentine Falls trail and take a photo of the picturesque waterfall!

Location: Serpentine National Park, 100 Falls Rd, Serpentine WA 6125.
