With another festive season been and gone, it’s time to turn our attention to January and the long stretch of summer days that lie ahead.  To help you make the most of this time of year, we’ve put together a guide of all the best things to do in and around Byford this season.

Perth Aqua Park

The ultimate summer fun lies less than 20-minutes down the road at Perth Aqua Park. This huge floating playground has over 100 different interconnected obstacles, complete with a three-lane course, climbing walls and slides. If you’re looking for adventure you can enjoy while staying cool, then we recommend adding this one to your to-do list ASAP.

Serpentine Falls

20-minutes down the road you’ll find the crowning glory of Serpentine National Park, Serpentine Falls. These stunning falls run down into a natural swimming pool, the perfect spot for cooling down on a warm day. We recommended making a day of it, packing a picnic, taking a walk on one of the trails and soaking up the local wildlife, including the friendly Western Grey kangaroos.

Rockingham

The coastal city of Rockingam lies less than a 30-minute drive from Beenyup and is filled to the brim with activities the whole family will enjoy. If you love snorkelling, swimming or wildlife watching then we recommend paying a visit to Shoalwater Marine Park. It’s only 500m offshore, with ferries departing from Mersey Point from mid-September to early June. Cavernous reefs around the islands provide good snorkelling and diving, with the island home to one of the best displays of marine wildlife anywhere in the world. Penguins, sea lions, dolphins, bright coral and shipwrecks combine to make this the ultimate summer day out.
