With the warm weather long behind us and the school holidays fast approaching you might be struggling to think of ways to keep the kids entertained this winter.

Luckily for you we have created a list of activities that you can do in and around Byford to keep your little ones occupied.

Cohunu Koala Park

Take advantage of a nice winters day and take the kids out of the house to visit Cohunu Koala Park. Located in our very own suburb of Byford, the park offers emu feeding, koala cuddles and exploring. Only a 7 minute-minute drive from Beenyup Grove, the park is situated on 14 hectares of vibrant bushland and home to a variety of Australian fauna and flora. Open every day from 10am to 4pm, admission for children under 3 is free, children 3-13 years $5 and adults 13 years and over are $15.

Youth Futsal Festival

If your kids are into sport, we recommend checking out the futsal festival run by headspace Armadale.  The purpose for the Futsal youth Festival is to highlight the important link between staying active and helping good mental health. This Futsal Event is designed to provide a platform for young people, competitive or not to come together and compete in a soccer tournament.

There is a prize to be won and the event will be supported by various organisations with lots of mini games for spectators.

Lego Club

If there is one thing that kids (an adults) love, its building lego! The Mundijong Public Library is hosting a lego club for lego lovers. People can take the lego challenge, make a badge and have heaps of fun. LEGO Club is suitable for ages 5+, children under 12 must be supervised.

Build a Fort

If the weather is cold and miserable outside then there is nothing better than grabbing the doonas, pillows and blankets off the beds and heading into the living room to build a cosy fort with the kids. Your little ones will have endless fun and to keep them entertained for hours we suggest setting them up in front of the TV so you can snuggle up in their hide out and enjoy a movie or 3.
